0870 and 0871 Numbers
Why
Should I Have An 0870 or 0871 Number?
Every business should have its own 0870 or
0871 "non-geographic" phone number (NGN).
You
may have seen big companies advertising with an 0870 number,
but what exactly is it? In a nutshell, it's a national,
permanent number for life. When someone calls you, the call
is routed to any UK landline (that is, any number beginning
01 or 02) you want.
This
means you can target a national audience, wherever you are
in the UK. You could be in Liverpool, London, Abersoch or
Aberdeen - it doesn't matter. Calls are diverted to any UK
landline (that is, any number beginning 01 or 02), and your
caller never knows.
Your
caller pays the same rate as a national call. There is no
extra call charge for you.
This
means you can operate from anywhere - even your spare room.
Your business may not yet have a home, but yet you can look
like a big company from the start. Better still, if you move
offices, you can keep the same number and just divert to the
new landline. You can even move from one end of the country
to the other. You never need to change your stationery
again.

small extra charge, we also provide you with voicemail, when
your line is busy or not answered. You need never miss your
customer's call again.
We
also provide 0871 NGNs. 0871 costs your caller a little more
- currently BT charges 10p/minute. We recommend 0871 lines
for faxes, because the extra call charge helps to reduce the
number of annoying, tree-destroying junk faxes. Just like an
0870 number, there is no charge to you.

You can

What If …
If
you don't have a fax machine, or don't want to take up your
spare line, you should consider our Virtual Office service.
We provide you with use of our fax machine, and post your
faxes on to you for a small handling fee per item.
